Halls Book Shop is a large second hand book shop that is based in Tunbridge Wells on Chapel Place. You could say it’s a near perfect setting for a book shop on the corner of the bottom of the slope. Established since 1898, Halls have built a stong heritage in the town where they currently stock an extensive range of rare and classic books including some bargains from only 10p.

    Halls is a well-established retailer of second-hand and antique books. Their shop in Chapel Place is full of gloriously dusty tomes waiting to be leafed through by anyone looking for an alternative to stack-em high and flog-em cheap high street booksellers.

    Classic independent bookshop...

       

    Over 100 years old, my family has been coming to Halls Bookshop for years. I've picked up so many classics here over the years, notably first and second editions of Ian Fleming's James Bond series. It's so nice to see that Hall's has survived even though we have so many high street competitors and larger bookshops around.
