Set in the beautiful village of Horsmonden in Kent, this 16th Century country inn is perfect for an afternoon drink, evening meal, lunch outing or even a weekend away. Serving real ales, fine wines and delicious home-cooked food, the bar and restaurant area provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for our guests.

Whether you are looking for an ice cold draught lager, a pint of tasty real ale or a chilled glass of refreshing white wine our bar will have something for you. A perfect place to relax or sit and chat, the bar is decorated with Kentish hops and in the winter has its fire lit to keep our customers cosy. During the summer you can enjoy our patio garden, surrounded by beautiful rose bushes and orange blossom making it the perfect place to enjoy a summer lunch.

The restaurant really has a country inn feel about it with its low beams, dried hops and the original spitroast hearth. Its cosy atmosphere makes it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a catch up with friends. Our menu changes regularly according to the season and wherever possible we use local farmers and producers for our food which is freshly cooked to order by our chef. You could enjoy a delectable herb crusted rack of lamb with boulangére potatoes and vegetables with a quince jelly or a grilled fillet of salmon, new potatoes & spinach and a hollandaise sauce.

We have a number of en-suite rooms available should you be looking to stay for a relaxing weekend away. The rooms are to a high standard and our home-cooked breakfasts in the mornings are certainly worth getting up for.
