Anyone who hasn't visited Signor Francos in a good while will be pleased to find it has renewed itself. A new chef has brought the menu uptodate and the decor has changed too. I would strongly recommend you give this another go. Still great and friendly service but the food is better than ever and the decor more contemporay.

Signor Franco's on the Old High St is something of a T Wells institution. The massive windows at the front, the exuberant, yet friendly service, and the reliably good food have held it at the forefront of the food scene here for many years. But perhaps now is the time that the formula needs to change? It feels just 'same-y'. The menu is the same. The staff are the same. The decor is the same (those pink walls and lacquered black chairs especially - are they still there?!) Nothing wrong with it per se, it's just that we've just seen it all before, and there really are better - and more exciting - dining options emerging each month in the town, plus other established places are evolving to constantly keep up. Competiton has never been so fierce...
We Italians love our food and Signor Franco is a quality restaurant here in Tunbridge Wells. I'm always sceptical about eating my authentic cuisine outside but this restaurant is the best Italian in the area.
The calamari starter was exactly like my mothers and my children really enjoyed the pollo alla romano. Good selection of deserts too.
