We are doing research about a Alfred Rickman who died in Tunbridge Wells in November 1985. He was born on 17 January 1902. He was working for Section D in MI6. His task was to blow up cranes used for loading iron-ore in Oxeloesund Harbour for Germany in 1940. He was however caught and gort a severe prison sentence of eight years, but was released and went back to England in 1944.
There he married his secretary Elsa Johansson, who also took part in this plat and spent some years in prison. Elsa died in 1972 and probably Alred remarried with Raymonde Hillery. Alfred had a business in London, probably Jayandeff was the name of his company.
There were probably no children, Elsa was too old when they married.
We are writing a book about this.
Is there anyone who knows anything about Alfred Rickman? We have no idea why he ended his days in Tunbridge Wells.
