Dozens of the area's most talented crowd-pleasers have been added to the line-up of the free arts and entertainment festival, which takes places on Sunday, August 26, and Bank Holiday Monday, 27.
These include the Boco Flogo marching band, Cascade Dance troupe and street entertainers from the Louise Jameson Theatre School. There will also be Tai Chi and Zumba displays and an appearance by magician Robert Pound.
An opera singer will also entertain the crowds from on high, taking their mark in the balcony of the Opera House public house in Mount Pleasant Road. Local bands Virgin Soldiers and 4th Wall will also perform at the Assembly Hall Theatre and The Forum during the festival.
Steve Mason, principal festival organiser, local businessman and Chief Executive of Trinity Theatre, said: "We are thrilled with the wide variety of talented performers that we have managed to assemble ahead of the festival. With magicians, dance displays and marching bands it looks like the festival will be an extremely colourful affair."
Proceeds of the festival will be split between five charities; The Hospice in the Weald, Headway, Pepenbury, Stars Foundation – Cerebral Palsy and Chyps.
