Freedom Pass
There is only limited time left to sign a petition to Kent County Council for Sixth Formers to be awarded Freedom Passes, support towards transport costs currently limited to 11-16 year olds. This campaign is also fighting for the fee for 11-16 year olds to be maintained at £50, rather than the proposed £100.
A higher bus fare would ultimately lead to more private car journeys on our already congested roads.
This issue concerns all parents and children from Year 7 upwards so it would be fantastic if you would support the campaign and sign the petition.
The Freedom Pass is a wonderful support towards the costs of transporting children to school, and it helps children towards becoming independent as they can socialise without always relying on mum and dad for lifts or bus fares. There are currently about 448 signatures and 12,000 are needed. Click on the link below to add your name to the petition.
Please pass this around to everyone you can think of. Primary Schools should also be looking to support this campaign.
