Trinity Youth Theatre courses to start again in May 2011
Three groups of young people, Changelings aged 8-12, Rude Mechanicals aged 13-15 and Athenians for older/experienced youth theatre members start on Monday 9th May 2011.
Each session will be run by local theatre actors/directors, all of whom work on a daily basis in the production of professional film and theatre across Kent. The sessions will also help to develop communications skills, self-confidence and team building. The first half of the 10 week course will be run by Keith Wallis, whose recent film credits include Russell Crowe’s Robin Hood, and introduce Trinity Youth Theatre Company members to stage fighting techniques, choreographed battle scenes and theatrical combat.
The second half of the course will be led by "Sparkle and Dark" who are an inspirational puppetry company creating unique multiple person puppets for outdoor festivals. They will conclude the Trinity Youth Theatre Summer term with an introduction to rod, shadow and banraku puppetry to inspire new sources of creativity.
