Can anyone recommend any venues in and around TWells that will accommodate a group of 20 people for Saturday lunch (kids and adts), preferably in a separate /contained area and which leads onto a balcony / outside area (for the smokers and if the weather is good)?

I'm racking my brains to come up with anywhere suitable - not as simple as it first appears! I'll come back with any ideas later today, and also ask the T Wells Twitter crowd to see if anyone there has any bright ideas for you.

The brilliant TW Twitter gang have come up with 3 ideas for you - the Nevill Crest & Gun pub near Eridge, the Beacon pub or the Newick Park Hotel (about 20 minutes from T Wells). Hope that helps!

Hotel du Vin is great, they cater for 20 people and more, they have an extensive menu, friendly, efficent & non-fussy staff who are knowledgable of the food & fantastic wine.

The quality of food is out of this world - all sourced from within a 30 mile radius and prepared fresh daily.

I would highly recommend Hotel du Vin for a birthday to remember x

Barnsgate Manor Vineyard just got suggested to me as well (thanks @PowdermillNiels). Agree with Hotel du Vin - and I'd probably add Sankeys as well which might be worth a try?

Thanks for all suggestions, landed up going with the Beacon. The party was a great success, food of a good standard, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Great job Beacon and would recommend!
