Result of Sherwood by-election

The by-election for the Sherwood ward took place on Thursday 16th December, the results of the election are as follows:

BACKHOUSE, Bob – Conservative - 422 votes
BULLION, Alan – Liberal Democrat - 174 votes
CARVELL, Ian – Labour – 124 votes
STANLEY, JoJo – English Democrats – 75 votes
Webb, Victor – UKIP – 92 votes

There were 3 spoilt votes for either unmarked or uncertain
The percentage turnout was 18.6%.

Bob Backhouse has signed the declaration of acceptance of office and is now officially a Borough Councillor for the Sherwood Ward.
