CREATIVE FUN WITH FABRIC
Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery would like to invite local teenagers and families to dig out some interesting fabrics and bring them along to a free, creative workshop this summer.
The workshops will take place at the Town and Country Foundation art gallery at Trinity Theatre and are inspired by the museum’s costume collection and by the Community Curators exhibition, currently on show at Trinity.
By re-using and recycling fabrics in unusual ways, participants will be able to design their own shoe, hat or bag complete with handmade bows, rosettes and other embellishments of their choosing.
There are two different workshop days, each aimed at different age groups. The first workshop is on Saturday 7 August. A family workshop for all ages, there will be two sessions; 10am to 12noon and 1 to 3pm.
The second session is on Friday 13 August, 1 to 3pm, and will be an art workshop for anyone aged 11 or over.
Please remember that children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For more information contact the Museum on 01892 554171 or visit http://tinyurl.com/2wprftm
