TUNBRIDGE WELLS U16/17 13

GRAVESEND U17 12

FOLLOWING the merger of Tunbridge Wells' under 16 and 17 squads looking ahead to a Colts team next season, a mixed team, featuring 13 under 16s, edged to an exciting win against a Gravesend team flying high in Kent Division Three.

Two Liam Cook penalties gave Wells the upper hand before the visitors scored two tries and moved into a 6-12 lead.

However, Wells are a fiercely determined squad and Louis Toyne crashed over for a try with four minutes to go, converted by George Montgomery.

Man of the match Peter Carvalho and under 16s Niall Healy, Will Stephens and Arthur Beard impressed for the home team.

The rugby club is holding a bonfire and fireworks display this Saturday (November 12) at St Mark's from 5.30pm.

Tickets are available in advance from www.twrfc.com or can be purchased on the gate.

@Kentbloke: these characters are all from the centre row of a keyboard. It's a satirical comment on the Liberals. They're also in the centre and make no sense at all.
