Cafe Southborough, Tunbridge Wells
BLISS - the Better Living In Southborough Society - is all about just making Southborough a better place to live, and recapture its community spirit. The former Bang and Olufsen shop at 142 London Road has been transformed into Café BLISS by local residents' group BLISS – the Better Living in Southborough Society. The kitchen of Bliss cafe is there not only to provide homemade food for the cafe, but to teach patrons how to cook too.
The project is being supported by Town & Country Housing Group through its charitable Foundation. Town & Country's head of community investment Jackie Sumner said: "The residents have done a fantastic job in creating this unique community resource. We are proud to be able to support them both financially and with the practical help they need to set up the café and make it a success.a
