Finding a bikini during the winter months can often seem like an absolutely nightmare. You traipse around just about every shop that has even the slightest chance of selling something swimwear related, and all you’re greeted by is knitwear and wellies. Not that, of course, there’s anything wrong with knitwear or wellies, it’s just that you’ve booked a last minutes winter getaway to the Seychelles and you could really do with a two-piece.

Luckily for us sun seekers; there is a solution to all of our high street woes. There are a number of luxurious brands out there that have made swimwear their business, and British seasonality plays no part in their production of fabulous bikinis and swimsuits.

Seafolly is one such brand, and it perhaps comes as no surprise that the designer swimwear brand is based in sunny, sunny Australia. The brand has been around since 1975 and it’s made quite a name for itself over the years. Take a look at the sort of stylish pieces that they produce and it’s no wonder, really. If you’re looking to perfectly encapsulate beach babe or surfer cool with fairly little clothing, then Seafolly have undoubtedly got something for you.

A style that Seafolly do particularly well, and that certainly gets the style vote, is the wonderful hipster boyleg bottoms. The bottoms are great for if you’re feeling a little bit self-conscious and want a little more coverage without going all the way to a one-piece. The pants rise a little higher than the normal bikini brief, and the ‘boy’ style gives a little more thigh coverage as well. They allow you to feel both sexy and self-confident when you’re showing a little more flesh than you normally would on the beach.

Seafolly have managed to not only design effortlessly cool swimwear items, but they’ve cleverly turned themselves into what can only be described as a lifestyle brand. One look at their collection and you can immediately see yourself sunning yourself on Bondi beach, or heading out for your first surfing lesson with beach waved hair.

If you’re after a little bit of elegance in your swimwear, or perhaps you’re looking for something a little more casual, then pop in to The Editeur to have a look at what Seafolly has to offer you. The Editeur are a Chester based designer womenswear boutique, and they have a great selection of designer swimwear and lingerie brands in stock, including designs by Seafolly, Elle Macpherson Intimates, and Stella McCartney.
