Kent Police this afternoon confirmed the arrest of a 27-year-old man in Southborough yesterday.

The man was apprehended following an incident in Broomhill Park Road, Southborough, yesterday afternoon.

It's believed he approached a girl as she was walking home at around 3.30pm. It's thought she was a little way ahead of her mother, when the man spoke to her. He is not reported to have touched her at all. The girl was unharmed.

A man was arrested shortly after and taken to Tonbridge Police Station for questioning. He has been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries until 5 December.
