Grants available for events celebrating the Jubilee or Olympics in Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is offering grants to voluntary and community organisations within the town for projects or events celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

These grants are not available to organisations in parished areas of the Borough, as Town and Parish Councils have been allocated separate funding for this purpose. 

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, 30 March 2012.

Grants are available for celebrations to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and/or the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games:

  • The celebration can take the form of an event, a project or a scheme.
  • The celebration must take place by 31 December 2012.
  • The maximum grant will be £2,000.
  • The Borough Council will pay up to 50% of the total project costs.
  • You may not apply for a grant towards:

    • Alcohol
    • Fireworks
    • Ongoing projects
    • Past projects
  • Grants will be paid in advance of the project/event taking place.
  • Monitoring and feedback information, including records of income and expenditure, will be required within 3 months of completion of the project.
