TV star Kim Woodburn is set to open the Hospice in the Weald's Christmas market in Pembury next Friday (November 16) at 10am.

She will be on hand selling ladies fashion and TV memorabilia to help raise funds for the cause.

She said: "It is a privilege to support Hospice in the Weald. It is a local charity giving help and comfort to those people who need it.

"The Hospice does such good work that it deserves as much help as possible from all of us.

"I look forward to selling some of my own personal bits and bobs and I aim to raise as much money as possible for the Hospice.

"You never know, I may be able to pick up a bargain or two for myself from the many stalls."

The Christmas market will run over two days from 10am until 4pm.

Over fifty stalls will be selling a range of products from locally produced food, including chutneys, cheeses and cakes, to gift items from jewellery to jumpers, bags to belts, and soaps to sculpture.

The market is at the hospice site in Maidstone Road, Pembury. Entrance is £2 per person.
