Local Vauxhall retailer, SLM Vauxhall, is proud to announce that Vauxhall's most powerful Astra ever, the Astra VXR, has arrived in showrooms.

The dealership in Tunbridge Wells is showcasing the brand new model at its site on Dowding Way and it is set to be a real show-stealer.

Motorists in the area are being invited to catch a glimpse of the stunning model, which produces more power and torque than any car in its class.

Jonathan Tatlock, General Manager at SLM Vauxhall, comments: "The highly anticipated Astra VXR is a welcome addition to our dealership and we are delighted to be able to give customers a show-stopping look.

"The brand new model adds to Vauxhall's long line of innovative new designs and staff and customers alike have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. Now it's finally here and we're very much enjoying soaking up the buzz surrounding this high-performing, sporty model which exudes unbelievable style."

Based on the innovative and stylish Astra GTC, the VXR benefits from a raft of bespoke chassis modifications, transforming it into a focused, high-performance coupe.

The exterior of the Astra VXR comprises a set of specially sculpted front and rear bumpers, side skirts, an aerodynamic roof spoiler and two exhaust tail pipes in a trapeze shape. What's more, customers also have the option of an Aero Pack, which includes a Bi-Plane roof spoiler, extended side skirts and 20-inch forged bi-colour alloy rims.

Meanwhile inside, the VXR's cabin boasts as standard, light-weight performance seats with embossed logos in the backs, a flat-bottomed VXR steering wheel and upgraded instruments.

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct injection engine, the VXR produces 280PS and a mighty 400Nm of torque – 40-50Nm more than key rivals - enough for it to achieve a top speed of 155mph and accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.9 seconds.

And setting it apart is a specially developed mechanical limited slip differential, which works on the front wheels, equipping the Astra VXR with exceptional grip and traction.

Vauxhall's new Astra VXR is priced from £26,995 on the road and is available to order from SLM Vauxhall now.

To make the Astra VXR more affordable for every motorist, SLM Vauxhall is offering the new model as part of Vauxhall's innovative 0% APR Flexible Finance Scheme, meaning that customers could, for example, drive away in a Astra GTC VXR 2.0i 16v Turbo for £330 a month, over 60 months, with a £6,695 customer deposit*.

The highly competitive Flexible Finance offer provides customers with the opportunity to pay as little as zero deposit for a brand new Vauxhall and select a payment term anywhere between 24 to 60 months. And with 0% APR, customers on current finance schemes could end up paying less for their brand new Astra VXR than they pay for their existing model.

Plus, when the payments end, the customer has full ownership of the vehicle. What's more, to get customers started, those purchasing a new Astra VXR on Flexible Finance will receive a £500 contribution from Vauxhall towards the deposit.

What's more, owners can drive away with the added peace of mind that their new Astra VXR automatically comes with a warranty which could now last a lifetime. Available to the first owner of all new Vauxhall cars, the unique warranty is valid for the lifetime of the vehicle up to a maximum of 100,000 miles.
